The Georgia Department of Labor’s LaFayette Career Center will help ResCare HomeCare, Inc., a nursing and residentia­l care company, recruit 15 employees to work in private homes in Catoosa and Walker counties.

The recruitmen­t will be held on Thursday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the career center located at 200 West Villanow St. in LaFayette. A similar recruitmen­t for the company was held on May 4.

The company is recruiting certified nursing assistants (CNAs), personal care givers, sitters and homemakers. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Since the company will offer a three-week, paid-training program for each occupation, no previous work experience is necessary. Nursing assistants who have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), and their certificat­ions will not have to enroll in the training program.

While in the training programs, employees will earn the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. After completion of the training programs, salaries begin at $9 an hour.
