BUSINESS ·The Georgia Department of Labor’s LaFayette Career Center will help ResCare HomeCare, Inc., a nursing and residentia­l care company, recruit 15 employees to work in private homes in Catoosa and Walker counties. The company is recruiting certified nursing assistants (CNAs), personal care givers, sitters and homemakers. Applicants must be 18 or older. Training is provided, so no previous work experience is necessary. RECREATION · Sunset strolls to Sunset Point are conducted at 5 p.m. every Saturday through November at Cloudland Canyon State Park. Take a stroll with a park ranger to one of the park’s best kept secrets. Enjoy views of Trenton, Lookout Valley, Sand Mountain and more while the sky turns colorful at sunset. COMMUNITY · The West Armuchee Community Center is hosting a Night in the Park from 5 -9:30 p.m. on June 17. There will be concession­s, a bounce house, games, live music and fireworks.

RECREATION · Chickamaug­a and Chattanoog­a National Military Park and Outdoor Chattanoog­a offer a 2.5 hour bicycle tour of the Chickamaug­a Battlefiel­d on Saturday, June 17. The ride begins at the visitor center and will be at a leisurely-paced historical ride. NPS rangers will talk about the history of the battlefiel­d while Outdoor Chattanoog­a staff and volunteers provide ride leadership and support. Bring your own bike or reserve a free loaner (minimum height is 5 foot) at no charge by calling 706866-9241. Ride length is less than four miles on flat to moderately-hilly terrain. All participan­ts are required to wear helmets.
