Donald Lee Hartman, 83, Chickamauga

Donald Lee Hartman, of Chickamauga, Ga., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 5, 2017. He was 83.

He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith.

He was an Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and was previously employed with Container Corporation of America.

He loved camping, fishing, playing Rook and just being with family and friends. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved the Atlanta Braves. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Caney and Zillie Hartman; wife, Marie Hartman; two brothers, Billy Hartman and Johnny Hartman and two sisters, Helen Harris and Catherine Marable.

Survivors include: his children and spouses, Chuck and Marcia Hartman of Red Bank, Tenn., Michael “Boomer” and Mary Hartman of Chickamauga, Ga., Diane and Craig Morgan of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Annette and Tommy Beard of Chickamauga, Ga., Lee and Vickie Hartman of Flintstone, Ga. and Lorie Ann and Brandon Duke of Flintstone, Ga.; brother and sister-inlaw, Darrell and Naomi Hartman of Ringgold, Ga.; 13 grandchildren, Wendy Hartman, Michelle Westbrook, Jenna Stevens, Lindsey Wilson, Hannah Partain, Abby Morgan, Meleigha Hartman, Kelsey Hartman, Alex Greene, Christian Duke, Bryson Duke, Ashton Duke and Travis Williams; 15 greatgrandchildren; 3 greatgreat-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation: The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services: will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 8, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Clyde Painter officiating.

Burial: will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
