Flash swim­mers still in search of first win

The Fairy­land Flash swim team are now 0-4 in the CASL Blue Divi­sion af­ter a pair of tough losses last week.

Last Mon­day, atop Look­out Moun­tain, Fair­ly­land dropped a 411.5-360.5 de­ci­sion to the Oolte­wah Tidal Waves.

Ethan Bevill and Frances Bohner paced the Flash with 19 points each. Ellen Tali­a­ferro fin­ished with 18 points, fol­lowed by Wil­liam Jackson with 15 and An­drew Horne with 14.

Nathan Jackson and Anna Ward had 13 apiece, while Vic­to­ria Wardell and Alexan­der Grande added 12. The other dou­ble-digit scor­ers in­cluded Car­ley Bra­man and Carter Gar­rett (11), Mor­ton Wing­field (10.5) and Gabriel McBr­yar, Henry Wing­field and El­li­son Ball (10).

Three nights later, the Flash trav­eled to the Car­pet Cap­i­tal, but re­turned home sport­ing another set­back, this time at the hands of the Dal­ton Dol­phins, 410.5310.5.

An­nie McBr­yar had 17 points to pace the Flash, while Tali­a­ferro and Bohner had 16 points each. Bevill, Har­ri­son Barnes and Mor­ton Wing­field fin­ished with 15 points, while Jane Eisel­stein and Mae Gar­rett had 14 apiece.

Other top scor­ers in­cluded Bra­man, Sa­muel Jackson and Ruth Bur­nette with 10 each.

Fairy­land (0-4) will be back on the road on Wed­nes­day with a 5:30 p.m. meet at Stu­art Heights. They will be back at home to face Sig­nal Moun­tain on Mon­day, June 26 at 5:30 p.m.
