CHURCH · Lyerly United Methodist, across from the Lyerly School at 105 Oak Hill Road, will hold Vacation Bible School on Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. unitl 3 p.m. All children are invited — there are no age limits — and each child will experience adventures including bible fun, great music, science lab and cool crafts, A hotdog lunch will beserved at noon and snack will be given out before they leave for the day. COMMUNITY · Mega Auto Designs, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on June 24, presents Truck Shown-Shine for Wesley Weaver in his Fight Against Cancer. This event is being held at 9246 N. COMMUNITY · The LaFayette Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Freedom Festival on Friday, June 30. There will be games, activities, live music and other entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. and concluding with a 10 p.m. fireworks extravaganza at. This free outdoor event will take place at the municipal park at 638 South Main St., just south of downtown LaFayette.
