Dems to meet Thursday
The Walker County Democratic Party will welcome Rob Mishler, the secretary of the Greening Georgia Caucus to the Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG), monthly meeting on Thursday, June 22,
Mishler’stopic will be “Saving the Planet for Our Grandchildren” when he address the group at 6:30 p.m. at the Bank of La Fayette Community Room off North Main Street on
Mishler held the office of 2nd Vice Chair of the Fannin County Democratic Party (2008 to 2010), then was elected as the Chair of the Fannin County Democratic Party (2010-2012) as well as the State Committee Member to the Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG) (2011 – 2017). He is now acting secretary for the Greening Georgia Environmental Caucus to the DPG, a new caucus that was voted on and accepted by a 134 to 19 vote of the DPG State Committee in Athens, Georgia on March 11th, 2017.
The speaker will discuss the Greening Georgia Environmental Caucus to the DPG, its mission and its goals, and be seeking countylevel participation so that we may hand our children and grandchildren a healthy, sustainable planet as our legacy.
