Luther “Steve” Wilson, 70, Chickamauga
Luther “Steve” Wilson, 70, of Chickamauga went home to be with his Lord July 16, 2017.
He was a member of Peoples Baptist Church. Steve served as Deacon in several area churches. He has been a member of Strollers Car Club since its beginning.
He is preceded in death by his father; Silas Wilson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carrie Wilson; mother, Irene Wilson; sons, Darryl (Vicki) Wilson, Robbie (Angel) Wilson; sister; Sandy (Mike) Cordell; brothers Stanley (Kathy) Wilson and Levon (Connie) Wilson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service: Thursday, July 20th at 2 pm, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Foster, Bro. Craig Westbrook and Bro. Larry Underwood officiating.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 19th from 12-8 pm and Thursday from 11 am until the service time.
Burial: Calvary Gardens Cemetery.

Ruby Lee Townsend Frye, 90, LaFayette
Ruby Lee Townsend Frye, age 90 of LaFayette, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017. She was born to the late Harvey Franklin and Etta Viola Colbert Townsend in Chickamauga and has been a lifelong resident of the LaFayette and Chickamauga Area. Ruby was a member of North LaFayette Baptist Church and was a loving and dedicated Christian and friend, who will be greatly missed.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Frye; son, Randy Frye; siblings, Billie Hill and Samuel Townsend.
Ruby is survived by her nieces and nephew, Beverly (Larry) Rhoad, Linda Hill, and Rick (Susan) Townsend; special friends, Judy and LeRoy German; and her loving pet, Snowball.
Funeral service: Noon on Thursday, July 20, 2017 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Rick Frazier and Rev. Larry Rhoad officiating.
Burial: LaFayette City Cemetery.
Visitation: From 10:00 am until the service time on Thursday.
