Arland “Bud” Travis Pevehouse, 84, Rocky Face

Arland “Bud” Travis Pevehouse, age 84, of Rocky Face passed away at his home Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

He was born in 1932 in Hohenwald Tennessee to the late Jim Pevehouse and Blossom Miller Pevehouse. He was a Korean War veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Rosa Lee Pevehouse of Rocky Face; daughter, Debbie Bowers of Mahan and Ray Mahan; uncle, Henry Collins; aunt, June Gravitt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service: 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Charles McElhaney and Rev. Alvin Cummings officiatin­g.

Burial: Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation: From 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.

Lynette Abrams Morgan, 81 of Flintstone, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 21, 2017.

She had lived in the North Georgia area for most of her life and attended Valley View Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmothe­r & great grandmothe­r who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Maggie Abrams; her loving husband of more than 56 years, Fred Morgan; sisters, Trudy Thomas and Irene Denton and 3 brothers, Wesley, Willie Joe and James Abrams.

Survivors include her children, Clifford & Donna Morgan of Chickamaug­a, GA, Brenda & Eddie Anderson and Peggy Morgan all of Flintstone, GA; brother, Milton & Evelyn Abrams of Steens, Mississipp­i; sisters, Frances Bell of Macon, Mississipp­i, Barbara Edmondson of Columbus, Mississipp­i and Donnie Nix of Clinton, Mississipp­i; 4 grandchild­ren, LaTisha Morgan, Daniel Anderson, Jonathan Morgan and Rachel & Will Brock; 4 great grandchild­ren, Autumn Morgan, Gabe Morgan, Michaella Morgan and Abigail Brock; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2017 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Jeff Brown officiatin­g.

Florence Lucy Green Peters, 97, of Ringgold

Florence Lucy Green Peters, 97, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 19 2017 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a former employee of Sweetwater Carpet where she worked for 19 years and was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ira E. Peters; parents, William “Jeff” and Lula Freeman Green; grandson, Denny Peters; great granddaugh­ter, Brianna Mosley; sister, Mildred Brock and five brothers, Arnold Green, Carl Green, Fred Manis, Lewis Manis, and Lamar Manis.

She is survived by five children, Kenneth (Linda) Peters, Marion (Myra) Peters, Howard (Johnnie) Peters, Gary (Della) Peters and Brenda (Herman) Kapherr all of Ringgold, GA.; brother, Earnest (Dorothy) Green of Ringgold, GA, eleven grandchild­ren, seventeen great grandchild­ren, three great great grandchild­ren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services: 2:30 P.M. Friday July 21, 2017 at Gordy Cemetery with Bro. Herman Kapherr officiatin­g.

Visitation: Friday from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.

Larry Douglas “Doug” Tucker II, 46, Ringgold

Larry Douglas “Doug” Tucker II, age 46 of Ringgold passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.

Doug was born February 15, 1971 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He was employed by Pro Diesel Repair, which was owned by his father. Rodeo was the love of his life and bull riding was the event he excelled in, especially in the 90’s. Doug was encouraged by his bull riding uncle, Ricky Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Charles and Johnnie Ruth Tucker, and T.W. and Margaret Smith.

Survived by his father, Larry Douglas Tucker, Sr.; mother, Myra Kay (Raymond) Randles; daughter, Bailey A. Mann; and son, Rowdy L. Tucker; several aunts, uncles, many cousins and best friend, Jenny Brown also survive.

Celebratio­n of Life service: in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Thursday, July 20th at 7:00 P.M.

Visitation: At the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until service.

D.F. Webb Sr., 95, Rossville

Mr. D. F. Webb Sr., 95, of Rossville passed away Wednesday July 19, 2017.

Mr. Webb proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sharp Shooter in WWII while Stationed in Okinawa, Japan and New Caledonia, New Zealand, he also owned and operated Webb’s T.V. repair service for 45 years.

Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his parents, Wife; Rosa Lee Webb, son; Alan C. Webb, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Mr. Webb is survived by his son Felix Webb Jr. grandchild­ren Alan “Cliff” Webb Jr., Molly Cagle and Sarah Webb as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Boyd Worley and Icy Morton; sister, Loretta Dempsey. Survivors include his siblings, Judy Worley, Diane (Randy) Ledford, Rickey Barnhill; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Cindy Harris.
