CHI Memorial Convenient Care-LaFayette is officially open
CHI Memorial Convenient Care-LaFayette held an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 23 to introduce its facility and staff to the community.
“Taking care to the community rather than the other way around,” is how Glyn Hughes, President of Mountain Management, described the philosophy of the newly refurbished facility.
Hughes said CHI Memorial operates 42 similar health care facilities through the region and LaFayette’s is the fourth in northwest Georgia, others being located in Chickamauga, Ringgold and Trenton.
Not only is the LaFayette office open to patients, either walkins or by appointment, six days a week. Practice Administrator Kristie Taylor said one the practice’s three doctors is on call 24-hours-a-day.
Those physicians — Drs. Suzanne Storey, MD, Ted Scoggins and Brian Dailty — are joined by two nurse practicioners and two physician assistant, making a total of seven health care providers — each with their own assistant — on staff.
Most lab work and x-ray imaging can be done on site, and Hughes said specialists will also provide care at these offices which are located within a few hundred yars of the U.S. Highway 27 bypass intersection with state Highway 136.
Gynaecology will be the first such service offered, with others to be determined later, he said.
CHI Memorial Convenient Care-LaFayette is located at 615 East Villanow St. in LaFayette, next to Professional Park Associates and is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
