“Explore Health” an all-new local program debuts Oct. 5 on WTCI
WTCI is pleased to announce that EXPLORE HEALTH, an all-new locallyproduced program, will debut on-air at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5.
Health is one of the leading topics in America today and WTCI is thrilled to partner with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Morning Pointe Senior Living and Southern Adventist University to bring this exciting new series to the Tennessee Valley.
Hosted by Ron Harr, former president/CEO of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and CEO of BlueCare, the series will feature health experts exploring the important topics that matter to everyone in 12 episodes during the fall/winter season. “I truly believe that better public understanding of these issues can help solve many of our problems,” says Ron Harr. “Public Television is the perfect distribution channel for this information. PBS is a trusted source of unbiased information and I’m excited to work with the award-winning team at WTCI on this new series.”
Paul Grove, president and CEO of WTCI, expressed pride in the station’s team, saying “WTCI’s dedicated production staff tells the stories that make our region unique, educating, engaging and inspiring a lifetime of learning in all of our neighbors. We are thrilled to bring this new program to our community and are grateful for the support of our sponsors and members.”
This new series reflects WTCI’s commitment to local programming, strong partnerships with area business and organizations and an interactive approach to storytelling. Audience members will be invited to share their questions and thoughts on topics through social media outlets and via email and web portals. Ron Harr and his guests will engage the Tennessee Valley as we EXPLORE HEALTH in our community and beyond, addressing topics like asthma and allergies, stroke care, mental health, the Opioids crisis, Alzheimer’s disease and more.
WTCI, the Greater Chattanooga Public Television Corporation, serves over 1.4 million viewers in a 35-county region, providing access to quality, trusted programming, community outreach and educational resources, including an all-new 24/7 PBS KIDS channel and CREATE, a channel dedicated to how-to programming.
