CHURCH · Tri-State Independent Baptist Preacher’s Fellowship monthly meeting is at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5. The meeting will be held at Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church, 600 Mohawk St., Rossville. Friday, Oct. 6

RECREATION · Friday night hikes at Cloudland Canyon State Park are 2-mile walks on one of the park’s best trails. Participants will learn interesting facts about the geology and history of the canyon. By the end of the hike, hikers will be in the dark, enjoying the trail by moonlight and listening for night sounds. Ages 10 and older. Reservations Required. Snacks and water will be available for you take with you on the hike and headlamps will be provided. Please bring a small pack to carry your items. Trekking poles or a walking stick are helpful as well. A hike is scheduled for Oct. 6 (7-9 p.m.).For information and for reservations call 706913-7170.

REUNION · The Ross and Anderson family reunion will be held at Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle in Ringgold on Saturday, Oct. 7. The family will meet at 4 p.m. and eat at 6 p.m. Bring your favorite dish and great stories of William Ross and Florrie Virginia Anderson Ross. See who you look like and act like and don’t even know. COMMUNITY · The second annual car show to benefit the Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Center will be part of LaFayette’s Heritage Day activities on Saturday, Oct. 7.
