COMMUNITY · LaFayette’s annual Freedom Festival will be hosted by the city on Friday, June 29. This free family event begins at 5 p.m. and ends with fireworks at 10 p.m. All action will be in Municipal Park at 638 South Main Street.

Tuesday, July 3

COMMUNITY · The 12th annual Patriotism at The Post, complete with a concert and fireworks show, is set for Tuesday, July 3, at Barnhardt Circle in Fort Oglethorpe. The parking lot opens at 5 p.m., festivitie­s begin at 7:30 p.m. and concluding with a fireworks extravagan­za. Patriotism at The Post is free to attend but asks for a $5-percar parking fee. Concession­s and cold drinks will be available for sale.

Sunday, July 8

CHURCH · Chattooga Baptist Church will host VBS July 8-13 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. with classes for PreK through teens. Friday night will be commenceme­nt and family fun night. Join the fun at 6982 state Highway 337, about 7 miles south of LaFayette, in the Center Post community.
