Catoosa Rec offering archery clinics
Catoosa County Parks and Recreation is holding two more archery clinics for ages 12 and up. Safety, instruction and equipment will be provided. Participants can only register for one clinic.
The clinics will be held on Tuesday, March 5 from 6-7:30 and on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the Graysville Gymnasium (967 Graysville Road, Ringgold).

RAYA sign-ups underway
The Ridgeland Athletic Youth Academy is currently holding youth sign-ups for soccer, baseball softball at a cost of $60 per child.

Catoosa County adult softball
Catoosa County Parks and Recreation is currently registering teams for its 2019 spring adult softball league. Registration is open through March 15. There will be a captains’ meeting on April 1 and the season will begin on April 8.
Team fees are $395, while solo players can register for $50 each. Teams are guaranteed an eight-game season and a postseason tournament.

Ridgeland cheer camp
The 8th Annual Ridgeland High School cheer camp will be held on March 23 from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Ridgeland High School gym. The cost is $20 per camper is the camp is open the current first through seventh graders.

Catchings to speak at FCA banquet
WNBA, NCAA champion, and fourtime Olympic gold medalist Tamika Catchings will headline the FCA Home Team Banquet on Tuesday, March 26 at the Catoosa Colonnade in Ringgold.
Individuals and businesses can sponsor $500, $1,000 or $2,000 tables to attend the celebration. The top two sponsorship levels receive passes to attend a private meet-and-greet reception with Catchings. FCA is also accepting ads in their souvenir program, as well as items for a silent auction.

Competitive swimming clinics
Great White Shark Aquatics (GWSA) will be hosting two competitive swimming clinics. The first clinic will be from Monday, April 1 to Saturday, April 6, while the second clinic will be from Monday, April 29 through Saturday, May 4.
The clinics will be held at 615 Derby Street in Chattanooga and will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturdays. They will be open for ages 6-18 and swimmers must be able to complete 25 yards of swimming without stopping.
Different swimming strokes will be practiced on each day of the clinic. The cost is free for GWSA members and $60 for non-GWSA members.
The clinics will be staffed by GWSA and Catoosa Great White Sharks coaches Phil Donihe, Elizabeth Kirk and Susanna Grundstein.

Benefit softball tournament
As part of a senior project, Ridgeland softball player Grayson James is looking to host an eight-team softball tournament on April 25-28 to benefit a local family. Entry fee is $125 for two pool games and a single elimination bracket. All money raised will go to assist the family.

Trojans Run 5K set for May 4 in Chickamauga
The 8th Annual Trojan Run 5K event will be held on Saturday, May 4th through historic downtown Chickamauga.
Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 6:30 a.m. and the chip timed race will start at 8 a.m. Registration fee is $25 before April 26th and $30 on the day of the race. Registration can also be done online at active.com.
