Ridgeland rifle team hosting Hometown Challenge

-

Ridgeland High School’s rifle team is pleased to announce that the MidwayUSA Foundation’s Hometown Challenge has begun! Please join us during July to compete in this national shooting competition and sweepstakes to win prizes and raise money for the team endowment.

Whether you decide to participate in the shoot, or only the sweepstakes, the “entry fees” are tax-deductible donations to Ridgeland’s team and all donations are matched.

This virtual shooting competition and sweepstakes is open to all ages and all disciplines. Placement certificates for 3-Position and standing air rifle will be awarded. Everyone is welcome to join this event; students of all grades, athletes, members of our community, teachers, coaches, or someone new we can teach to shoot during July.

Every $20 competition entry will also receive a sweepstakes ticket. There are over 100 amazing sweepstakes prizes, including firearms, ammo, apparel, coolers, and more, from our awesome sponsors. They are valued at over $18,000. Additional sweepstakes tickets can be purchased on the website for more chances to win.

All $20 sweepstakes entries are also donations to Ridgeland’s team endowment. Non-shooters can purchase these tickets to support the team without needing to compete in the virtual shoot.

To enter, visit https://www.midwayusafoundation.org/htc/ and be sure to enter Endowment ID R46478.

Contact Coach Carl Gentry for more information or to set up a shooting time at Ridgeland’s rifle range.
