Heritage, Gordon Lee win matches at LaFayette

Behind a 47 from Taylor Bunn, the Heritage Generals posted a 20-stroke victory in a four-team match at the LaFayette Golf Course last Monday afternoon.

Nicolas Anchondo shot a 50, while Mason Davis and Nathaniel Johnson each had 53’s as Heritage finished with a team score of 203.

Remy Pastach had a 62 and Jace Allen shot a 64 for the Generals, but only the top four scores went toward the team total.

Dade was second at 223, followed by LaFayette at 238 and Trion at 242.

The Ramblers had a team-low 56 from Luke Baker to go with a 60 from Kendall Loughridge and 61’s from Chris Duncan and Braden Edgeman.

Also playing for LaFayette on Monday was Davis Grinnell (63) and Lucas Sampley (64).

Mason Weathers led Dade with a 50, while Ridge Drake, Clayton Loughridge and Rowen Benefield tied for low score of the day for Trion at 60.

While Heritage, LaFayette, Dade and Trion were playing the front nine, four more NGAC teams took on the back nine at LaFayette and it was the Gordon Lee Trojans emerging victorious.

The Navy-and-White finished with a team score of 203, followed by Saddle Ridge (235), Ringgold (240) and Chattanoog­a Valley (241).

Camdyn Carter led Gordon Lee and the rest of the field with a score 47. Hailey Talley had a 49, while the team score was completed by a 52 from Luke Teeters and a 55 from Ty Davis. Asa Brown and Rob Ashley also played for the Trojans. Both shot 59, but only the four lowest scores counted towards the team total.

The second-place Mustangs were paced by a 53 from L.C. Mullaly. Wyatt Eldridge and Miles Eldridge each shot 60. Easton Stephens and Wyatt Smith both carded 62’s, while Jude Roerdink finished with a 63.

For the Tigers, Lyla Watson turned in a 57. Jex Wilson had a 60, followed by a 61 from Camdyn Mason, a 62 from Brennan Callahan and a 63 from Scotty Searcy.

And for the Eagles, Landon Plott and Aidan Lewis each turned in a score of 59. Cammy Price added a 60 and Tebow Crumley ended his round at 63.

HERITAGE WINS AT BROWN ACRES

The golf teams of Heritage, Gordon Lee and Lakeview made the drive into Chattanoog­a on Thursday to take on the Brown Acres Golf Course and it was the Generals emerging victorious in the nine-hole match.

Heritage finished with a score of 196, followed by Gordon Lee at 213 and Lakeview at 245.

Davis led the way for the Generals with a 45. Bunn shot a 49 and Johnson had a 50, while Pastach shot a 52.

Carter and Teeters tied with a 52 for the Trojans, while Talley (53) and Brown (56) also played for Gordon Lee.

Cole Brewer led the Warriors with a 54, while Sammi Carnes, James Kernea and Zion Martin each carded 62’s.
