Lois V. Roettger, 98

Lois V. Roettger, age 98, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away at Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 11: 15 am.

She was born on August 25, 1922 in Mendon to the late Carey and Lexie ( Mihm) Boroff. On October 3, 1942 she married Orin Roettger and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2013.

She is also survived by four daughters, Donna ( Rick) Moon of St. Marys, Judy ( George) Sheipline of St. Marys, Carol ( Tom) Baeumel of Wapakoneta, and Emma ( Dennis) Metzger of St. Marys; a son, Rodney ( Kelli) Roettger of Wapakoneta; 17 grandchild­ren; 35 great- grandchild­ren; and 17 great- greatgrand­children.

She is preceded in death by a granddaugh­ter, Jeni Roettger; a great- granddaugh­ter, Amber Williams; five sisters and their spouses, Retha ( Joe) Stewart, Beulah ( Lowell) Heppeard, Imogene ( Charles) Cooper, Sylvia ( Carl) Pond, and Betty ( Bill) Anderson; and six brothers and their spouses, Forest ( Mary) Boroff, Dale Boroff, Lavon ( Louise) Boroff, Willard ( Merlie) Boroff, Pleasant ‘ Verly’ ( Jeanne) Boroff, and Marlin Boroff.

Also deceased is a brother- in- law, Harmon Boysell.

Lois was a 1939 graduate of Mendon High School. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, St. Marys. Lois was a lady of great faith who loved her family and friends. Other interest included fishing, gardening, canning, baking, camping and playing cards.

Due to the National Health Concerns of COVID- 19 Lois’s funeral service will be private. Burial will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys.
