LSO’S Mornings with the Maestro now online

LIMA – The Lima Symphony Orchestra announces the return of “Mornings with the Maestro,” now available online. Mornings with the Maestro are vibrant educational programs dreamed up by Maestro Andrew Crust and featuring Lima Symphony Orchestra musicians. These programs are intended to introduce young audiences to the basic elements of music in fun and engaging ways.

Mornings with the Maestro Episode 1 asks the question: what is a composer? How does a composer make you feel different emotions when you listen to music? Can music tell a story without any words? Maestro Crust explores these questions and more as he leads listeners on a musical journey through “Appalachian Spring” by com poser Aaron Copland.

This program is appropriate for all ages and is available through the Lima Symphony Orchestra Youtube page. New performances will continue to be released throughout the winter and spring. Links to Mornings with the Maestro can also be accessed through the Lima Symphony Orchestra website.

Lions Club 50 year Member --The Wapakoneta Lions Club, chartered in 1950, has been a service organization serving the community for 70-plus years. Willie Winter has been a member of the Club for 50 of those 70 years serving in many leadership and support roles during his tenure, including President and twice being recognized as Lion of the Year. Presenting Willie with a 50 Year Lion membership recognition award is Lion President Jim Wachauf; looking on is Lion Director Paul Eisert.
