Paul named Maxpreps Ohio Athlete of the Week

BOTKINS — Botkins sophomore forward Camdyn Paul

has been selected as the Week 4 Maxpreps Ohio High School Female Athlete of the Week.

Paul scored eight goals and had two assists in the Trojans’ 15-0 win over Southeaste­rn on Sept. 7 and three goals and an assist as BHS defeat Lima Central Catholic 5-2 on Sept. 9.

Paul’s eight goals in one match is a Botkins record.

Ravenna football player Christian Neff was picked as the Week 4 Maxpreps

Ohio High School Male Athlete of the Week.

Neff recorded 18 tackles (12 solo), a tackle for loss and a forced fumble in a 39-6 loss to Norton on Sept. 10.

Neff is averaging 13.3 tackles per game through four weeks this season.

KENTON — Wapakoneta

battled Kenton to a 3-3 Western Buckeye League tie on Tuesday.

Katie Lisi, Alyssa Shaner and Nikane Ambos scored goals for the Redskins (2-7-1

overall, 1-3-1 WBL).

VOLLEYBALL Wapakoneta 3, Kalida 0

KALIDA — Wapakoneta swept Kalida 25-18, 25-22, 25-13 in a

nonconfere­nce match Tuesday.

The Redskins received 20 kills, eight digs and five solo

blocks from Kaleigh Palmer; 22 assists and

seven digs from Reyna Woodruff, six digs, two assists and one

ace from Emily Vanhorn, three kills, two

solo bllocks from Bailey Ware, 11 digs and three aces from Maddi

O’neal, 13 digs and two aces from Carlie

Schroeder; and one ace and one dig from Regan Courter.

WHS improved to 9-6 overall.

JACKSON CENTER — Botkins was swept

by Jackson Center 25-9, 25-12. 25-4 in a Shelby County Athletic League match Tuesday.

BOYS GOLF Botkins 153, Mississina­wa Valley 198

WINCHESTER, Ind. — All six Botkins golfers carded scores of 40 or less during a 153198 nonconfere­nce dual win over Mississina­wa Valley on Tuesday at Winchester Golf Club.

Jameson Meyer, Jack Dietz and Ross Dietz were tri-medalists after each Trojan turned

a 38. Isaac Cisco and J.J. Meyer both had 39s, while Jaydon Wendel posted a 40.

Aaron Hurt led Mississina­wa Valley with a 46.

BOYS SOCCER Shawnee 3, Wapakoneta 0

LIMA — Western Buckeye League trileader Shawnee defeated Wapakoneta 3-0 in conference match Monday.

The Redskins fell to 5-3-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the WBL.
