Dianna Herford, 80

Dianna Mae Herford, 80, of Wapakoneta, died 10:05 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at Mercy Health-st. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born May 28, 1941, in Lima, the daughter of Robert G. and L. Jane (Crist) Reier, who preceded her in death. On June 1, 2001, she married Francis Lee Herford, and he survives. She was previously married to Leroy E. Gibson, and he is deceased.

Survivors include Dianna and Leroy’s daughter: Brenda Lee (Dana) Widmark, Wapakoneta; two other children: Debra A. Herford, Huntington, WV, Diane L. Pack, Findlay, OH; grandchild­ren: Julie (Ron) Leiss, Jennifer (Nick) Herriott, Jeremy (Heidi) Gibson, Amanda (Tim) Brown, Daniel (Aracelly) Makara, Christen Markara, Jamien Pack, Joshua Pack; great-grandchild­ren: Dylan Copeland, Alexceia Gibson, Adalynn Brown, Sofia Herriott, Anthony Gibson, Elijah Leiss, David Devo, Jacob Deyo, Nicolai Makara, Sebastian Makara, Leonardo Makara; a brother, Robert (Sandy) Reier, St. Marys, OH.

In addition to being preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; and her children: Wade Anthony Gibson, Denise Ann Cummins, and Nicole Lynn Comer. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ronald Cummins, Jr.; a sister, Patricia Watters; a brother, Edward Reier; and her parents.

Dianna retired from Crown Equipment, New Bremen. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta.

She enjoyed bowling, line dancing, cooking, and baking. She especially loved spending time with her family, and caring for her pets, Odie and P.J.

Funeral services will be 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Rev. Jedidiah Tritle officiatin­g. Burial will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

The family will receive family and friends 2-6 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
