COLUMBUS — Botkins finished fourth among 12 teams competing at the

OHSAA Division III Boys Golf State Championships on Saturday.

Playing at Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course, the Trojans were fourth after Friday’s first round and held their position despite windy conditions in Saturday’s final round.

the wind is behind you, it’s going to go further that what you want or, if you’re

trying to hit into the wind, you have to think about what club that you want to use. If you would normally use a 9-iron, you might

have to use a 7-iron to get the same distance in windy conditions.”

Berlin Hiland win the Division III state team title with a 614 (310-314 in both

rounds), followed by Gates Mills Gillmour Academy (312-320—632), Newark Catholic (323-335—658),
