Jacqueline H. Rentz, 61
Jacqueline H. ‘Jacki’ Rentz, 61, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 8:25 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health System.
She was born on March 10, 1960 in Lima, to John G. and Yoshiko Izumida Vorhes who have preceded her in death. On April 29, 1978, she married her high
school sweetheart, Randall L. ‘Randy’ Rentz, who survives.
Survivors also include her three sons: R.J. (Melissa) Rentz, of
Sunbury, Jeremy Rentz (Corin Nagle),
of Jackson Center, and Kevin (Jennifer) Rentz,
of Celina; 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Nathan, Andrew, Sara, Carolyn, Aubrie, Brienne, Ryleigh, Makynleigh,
Kyra, and Kali; as well as two sisters: Grace (Bob) Gaves, of Newton Falls, and Catherine (Tom) Matheny, of St. Marys;
and two brothers: Chuck Vorhes, of Lima,
and Alan (Melissa) Vorhes, of Gahanna; and many nieces and nephews.
A 1977 graduate of Lima Senior High
School, Jacki had worked for Sounds Easy Video and Clyde Evans Market, both of Lima. She was a lifetime member of the Amvets, Wapak Post
333, where she was active in helping with
holiday programs for the kids.
Remembered as feisty, she also had a
servant’s heart, always volunteering
and tending anyone in
need. Jacki enjoyed cooking, whether it be the authentic Japanese
dishes her mother taught her, or the Thanksgiving feasts
she was known for. Although there weren’t nearly enough,
she filled each summer with night fishing, swimming, and
soaking up the warmth outdoors. Her grandchildren will especially remember their annual weeklong camping trips.
Short in stature with a fighting spirit, Jacki’s
memory will live on in her family and friends.
A Celebration of Jacki’s Life will begin at 4 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at
Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation
Services. Friends may
call from 2 p.m., until the time of services. Pastor Josh Tissot will officiate.
Interment of her cremated remains will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be directed to Pelotonia (www.
pelotonia.org/profile/ RR091) in her memory. Condolences may be expressed at www.
