Ethel B. Mason Gross, age 92, of Wapakoneta passed away

5:34 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2021 at her residence.

She was born September 21, 1929 in Burning Fork, KY to the

late Henry and Laura (Prater) Estep. She married James Edward Mason February 26, 1948

and he preceded her in death April 5, 1959. She later married Russell Bernard Gross November 2, 1962 and he preceded her in death November 16, 1970.

Mrs. Gross was a founding member of Wapakoneta Baptist Church where she served faithfully for more than 50 years.

She retired from Westinghou­se, while there she started

a Christmas drive for those less fortunate. Ethel loved

spending time with her children, grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, fishing and ministerin­g to those in need.

Survivors include children: Gary Lynn (Sue) Mason of Wapak, Mary Anne (Tom)

Bergman of Mcdonough, GA, George Thomas Mason of West Carrolton, OH, Dr. Raymond

Gregory (Teri) Mason of Wooster, and John Russell (Linda) Gross of Wapak; 21 grandchild­ren; 30 great-grandchild­ren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death

by three sons: Jerry Lee Mason, David Michael Mason, and Herbert Steven Mason; two brothers; and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersvil­le with sonin-law Rev. Tom Bergman officiatin­g.

A brief gathering will follow the service. Private burial will

be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
