Rain means no show, but steers continue to grow & grow
Rain, Rain go away so Jack can show his steer again.
This weekend we were supposed to show at Upper Sandusky, but Mother Nature had other plans. We had the
trailer all packed up and ready and we had scheduled to clip the steers on
Saturday. Once Saturday came we were all excited until dad read the weather for Sunday it was going to be wet. Since dad didn’t like to be wet he
asked us if we wanted to show at Upper Sandusky or stay home and not
show. So sadly all three of us said no to going to show.
The steers have hit growth spurts like I have and instead of 500 pounds
of feed we now have to buy 750 pounds of feed a week. Just like how mom had to buy me new shoes for
basketball. Football is over again and its time to start the next sport, basketball. Caroline, Kate, and I all started playing basketball last year and we thought it would be fun to play again
next year. I still have to tryout but I have had shooting the majority of the week. After basketball I go home and
eat supper while Caroline goes to basketball practice. If dad really wanted to save on gas he wouldn’t have had three kids who want to play basketball. Kate and I are left to do Bobby but we don’t mind because soon Kate will have basketball practice and we will have to do her steer.
We have received the Fair checks containing the buyer list and it’s amazing to have so much community
support! I like to say thank you to the Auglaize County Sheriff Auxiliary,
B&G Recycling, Block Insurance Company, Brian and Terrie Egbert, County Line Ag Services, Curly’s Custom Meats, Goodyear Shoe Store, Joe Altherr and LG Seeds, Kathy Mathews, Minster Bank, Ohio House Representative 82nd District Craig Reidel, Padrones Pizza (Brett and Kellie Rider), S & S Volvo, Schaub Excavating Inc., Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Superior Credit Union, Wapak Young Farmers & FFA Alumni, and Wapakoneta Eagles #691.
We truly could not get to do what we love without your continued support.
