Readers asked to share their pet photos for 2022 customer calendar

-

“If we’re sure of anything, we can says with absolute certainty that our readers love their pets.”

That’s why, explained Publisher Deb Zwez, the Wapakoneta Daily and the Evening Leader are

bringing back a popular theme as the newspaper ask their readers to help provide photos to decorate the annual customer calendar.

“With November bringing a chill to the air, and because we always work in advance, it was time to start thinking about the annual customer calendar,” Zwez said. “We like to ask our readers to share their photos for the piece and we want the calendar to be something people

use and can hang on their refrigerators — or wherever — for the year. When we asked

ourselves what kind of theme will our readers respond to, the overwhelming answer was pets.”

Readers can start sending their photos right away.

“So what we want to see are your best photos of your favorite pets — dogs, cats, birds, turtles, goats — if it’s your pet and you have a good, clear photo send it along,” Zwez said. “Our goal

is to use as many as we can fit on the calendar template.”

Pictures should be emailed to calendar@ wapakwdn.com no later than the close of business on Nov. 16 — that’s two weeks to

submit a good, clear jpg image of your pet. The newspapers retain the right to reject a photo for quality issues; however, all attempts will be

made to use every pet photo submitted. Participants are encouraged to submit only one photo of each pet.

“We’ve set up the special email address, and all photos must be submitted to that address,” Zwez said. “While we may promote this opportunity through our social media, we will not download any

photos submitted there. Neither will we accept them over the

counter at the office. We really must have them emailed to allow us to edit them for use in the calendar.”

The calendar will be inserted into the Wapakoneta Daily News and Evening Leader early in

December; additional copies will be available for sale at each office after the calendar appears

in the newspapers.
