Redskins, Trojans and Tigers at final league track meets

From Staff Reports The Redskins, Trojans and Tigers all took part in their league championsh­ips. Wapakoneta participat­ed in the WBL championsh­ip on Wednesday and Friday, Botkins battled opposing SCAL schools in their league championsh­ip Thursday and Saturday, and Waynesfiel­d-goshen did very well in the NWCC meet.

Girls eighth place Boys eight place LIMA — Both the Redskin’s boys and girls had multiple topthree finishes in events, the 4x100m relay team of Gavin Ainsworth, Collin Lenhart, Keaton Lenhart and Jace Mullen had the lone firstplace finish in the Western Buckeye League track championsh­ip.

Boys top-three finishes

The boys 4x100m relay teams took home first with a time of 44.38 seconds. Jackson Courter finished second in the high jump (6’). Collin Lenhart finished second in the long jump (19’11.5”). Girls top-three finishes

Nikane Ambos finished second in the girl’s 300m hurdles (46.97). Kali Kohler ended up in second place in the long jump (16’1.75”). ————

SIDNEY — The Trojan boys and girls track and field members had multiple events with top-three finishes. The Trojans also had three top finishes with Aleah Johnson coming in first place in both girl’s shot put and discus, she would shatter the SCAL meet record by almost 16 feet in discus. Carter Pleiman also took home a top finish in the boys 800m.

Girls top-three finishes

The Trojans 4x800m (10:41.97) team finished third. The 4x200m (1:55.33) team came in third. Britany Arnold finished in second place in the 1600m (5:34.55). In the 3200m, Brittany Arnold finished third with a 12:16.76. Aleah Johnson finished first in both shot put (37’8.75”) and discus (148’8”).

Boys top-three finishes

The 4x800m (8:23.63) team ended in second place. Trojan 4x200m (1:37.61) team finished in second place. The Trojan 4x100m (47.04) team finished in second. Xavier Monnin

finished third in the 400m (53.42). Carter Pleiman won in the 800m (2:04.04). 4x400m (3:40.08) finished second. Jack Dietz ended in second place in the long jump (19’5.5”).

Girls first place Boys third place MCGUFFEY — The Tiger varsity track and field team put many members in the top three at the NWCC championsh­ip. Both the boys and girls were able to put up first-place finishes. Taylor Spencer had four first-place finishes for the Tiger girls, leading the way to a first place finish for the girls as a team.

Leah Werner finished third in the 100m (17.61). The Tigers 4x200m (1:56.37) finished third. The first (5:38.32) and second (6:31.05) place runners in the 1600m were Taylor Spencer and Cassidy Bigelow. The 4x100m (58.44) team ended in third place. Taylor Spencer would also take first in the 400m (1:01.25). Taylor Spencer (2:32.71) and Kyleigh Bigelow took home the top two spots in the 800m. Taylor Spencer (13:11.62) and Amelia Ball (15:45.44) also took home a top-two spot in the 3200m. The Tigers finished first in the 4x400m (4:31.29). The Tigers took home the top two spots in discus Molly Zechman (102’01”) and Chloe Baumgardne­r (97’5”). Zoe Schlegel finished third in the high jump (4’8”). Two finished top three in the shot put, Molly Zechman (29’6.5”) finished second and Riley Kirian (28’6.5) finished in third place. Leah Werner finished tied for third in the pole vault (7’6”).

Boys top three Dalton Jordan came in third in the 110m hurdles (18.20). In the 4x200m (1.36.03) the Tiger team finished first. Alec Spencer finished third in the 1600m (4:39.77). Cole Steinke ended in second place in the 300m (42.67). The Tigers finished first in the 4x400m (3:39.13). Craig Hunter ended in third place for shut put (38’8”). Cole Steinke came in second for the pole vault (11’)
