Everett’s Column on May 14, 1949— Today we will take up the barbers (operating in 1899), without whom we can not get along. In those days they were called tonsorial artists in their advertisements and write-ups….dittmar Spees, the Buckeye Barber Shop….ditt Spees is the only barber [still] living, as the owner of a barbershop, and still in the barbering business. Father, son, grandson, great-grandson and great-great grandson. These five generations have had their hair cut by Ditt Spees. Francis Bowsher was first…john Bowsher… Francis J. Bowsher….mark Bowsher…and now Phillip Bowsher….2 years old.
