- What’s Happening Guidelines Chamber Meeting Chamber Renewals Due Soup Kitchen Opens Cemetery Meeting Adult Computer Course Safe Driving Course

Community and church events are printed under What’s Happening twice per event as space permits. Suitable events are special church services, special club meetings or monthly meeting reminders.

Annual, or one-time fundraisin­g events, are printed in What’s Happening for churches, community service and other nonprofit groups only. Deadline to submit an item for publicatio­n in the next edition of the Enterprise­Leader is noon Monday.

The 4A State Championsh­ip Cheerleadi­ng Squad from Prairie Grove will be honored at the Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce noon meeting on Jan. 26. The entire squad will be attending the meeting.

The program for January will feature Rachel Silva, the Preservati­on Outreach Coordinato­r for the Department of Arkansas Heritage.

Anyone in the community is invited to attend the meeting. The home-cooked meal is $5 per person, and all meetings start at noon and end by 1 p.m.

The 2012 Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce renewals are now due. Anyone needing to renew or join should contact Chamber President Maylon Rice at rice@bmswd.com.

A soup kitchen will be open at the Prairie Grove Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m. the second Sunday of each month. If possible call 267-6502 to let the cooks know how many will be there.

The annual meeting of the Farmington Cemetery Associatio­n, Inc., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at Farmington City Hall. Anyone interested in the cemetery is invited to attend, especially lot owners and/or their families. Business will include election of officers and one board member. An adult computer course will be offered at Lincoln High School.

The course is an introducti­on to Microsoft Excel Spreadshee­ts. Class will meet on Tuesday evenings starting Jan. 24 and ending March 6. Call 497-824-3010 for more informatio­n or to register.

If you have been unable to attend an AARP Safe Driving Class due to your work schedule, here is your chance at the Lincoln Senior Center. The class will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.

Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for others. Completion of the class may entitle you to insurance discounts.
