Cincinnati Reunion Set For Saturday

Everyone Invited To New Building

- MARIE ROY IS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN AND HAS WRITTEN FOR THE ENTERPRISELEADER FOR OVER 30 YEARS.

The 17th annual Cincinnati reunion is planned for this Saturday, May 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the new fire station.

The first meeting in the fire station was held last year when the building was partially completed after the devastating tornado. It is now completely finished, made larger with a fellowship hall added where community meetings can be held.

Members appreciate the many donations toward the building of the new facility, and everyone is invited to attend Saturday to see the replacement and enjoy the usual fellowship.

This Sunday, May 27, is the fourth weekend in May with the following cemetery decorations: Antioch, Beaty, Cheatham, Gandervillle, Old Union, Sharp, Prairie Grove, Sugar Hill, Summers, Rose, Wedington and White Rock on Arkansas 59 South.

I hope everyone had as happy a Mother’s Day as I had. Having celebrated two “special” days, it lasted over two weeks’ time, and my special thanks go to all for the visits, cards, phone calls (both far and near), gifts, beautiful flowers, dinner with family and many other things.

The second week ended with watching two of my great-grandsons’ ball games. What a great life!

Happy birthday to Thelma Loftin, Bettie Bell, Levi Bradley, Kenneth Cruikshank, Paige Sisemore, Dallas Mcclellan, James King, Willie Leming, James Hodge, Derk Morris, Helen Jones, Kylee Pitts and Colton Little.

Happy anniversary to Justin and Lisa Rawls, their 10th, on May 25 and to Jeremy and Teresa Pitts, their 18th on May 29. Happy years, all! Because of the holiday, there will be no recycling in Lincoln next Monday. The next one will be almost the middle of next month, June 11.

I remember when this recycling first came to Lincoln about 20 years ago. They came on Saturday and we didn’t have to contend with these Monday holidays. But I’m thankful they still come to help us dispose of the newspaper, magazines, tin cans, plastics and cardboard.
