Several Win At Senior Games

- SHIRLEY METZGER IS THE LINCOLN SENIOR CENTER REPORTER.

What fun we had at the senior games, but oh, how tired we all were.

We had several winners of ribbons and/or badges: Tom and Liz Lockhart, Lynwood Holloway, Don and Sharon Short, Del Lombard and Agnes Long, Roy Gene Rinehart, and, yes, believe it or not, yours truly received a white ribbon in Baggo. My first ever and probably my last unless I get to practicing these fun games.

May is national elderly month. What a great time to honor our nation’s older folk who have been the backbone of America.

Our generation has been the glue which has held us all together.

Our morals, our work ethics and love for our fellow man is slowly diminishing.

Remember the center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you do not have air conditioning come on down to the center during those hot times of the day. Keep cool and visit with old and new friends. We have free blood pressure checks offered every Wednesday at 11 a.m.

As usual, the games continue regularly and a jigsaw puzzle is always in the making.

So, if you enjoy working puzzles, come join in that and also chair exercises on Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m.

We also have the Tops group on Tuesday mornings. If you are interested in losing weight, stop in for that program.

On Thursday, we will be going out to eat again. I am having a senior moment and can’t remember where we are going this time, so just call the center and ask Sally.
