Senior Center Serving Breakfast June 23

- Gospel Music Divine Appointment Ministry

My, last week seemed short. It was because of Memorial Day on Monday, of course, but the holiday gave us a three-day weekend to enjoy.

Did you go camping, visiting, shopping or whatever? If you visited the Prairie Grove Cemetery, you noticed how beautiful it was with lovely flower arrangements and flags decorating the graves.

Visiting David and Kristi Nelson over last weekend were David’s brother Kelby and Tammy Nelson and three children from Eldorado.

A f ter camp ing a t Devil’s Den and enjoying the time together, Kelby and family returned home Monday evening.

Sue and my plans for last Monday were nil until we learned Richard and Amy were at the Mall in Rogers. So the two of us quickly got ready and headed to Rogers to meet them for lunch (Chinese food) and do some shopping. We enjoyed the trip.

A mother and daughters get- together was enjoyed recently by Cheryl West and daughters Natalie Bartholomew and Lindsay Kennedy of Lubbock, Texas. The three ladies met in Savannah, Ga., toured the beautiful city and loved every minute of the time together.

To support the Meals on Wheels program, the Prairie Grove Senior Center is having a breakfast on Saturday, June 23, from 7-9:30 a.m. at the Center. The cost is $5 for adults. Children younger than 12 can eat for $3. This program is so important to the lives of older adults, so please come and support it. Your help will be much appreciated.

Have a good week!

The Melody Boys Quartet will be at Liberty Baptist Church in Dutch Mills at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 10. Anyone who likes southern gospel music will love their music. All are invited to attend.
