Vicie J. Ramey

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Vicie J. Ramey, 90, of Fayettevil­le, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012. She was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Washington County, the daughter of Hershel and Cloie Galyen Isenhower.

She was a homemaker and worked for Baldwin Piano and was a member of Whitehouse Church of Christ.

Survivors include her seven sons, Marion Ramey and wife, Barbara, of Greenland, Ron Ramey and wife, Judy, of Winslow, Russell Ramey and wife, Olivia, of San Antonio, Texas, Billy Ramey and wife, Connie, of West Fork, Doug Ramey and wife, Amy, of Fayettevil­le, Randall Ramey and wife, Becky, of Prairie Grove and Tom Ramey and wife, Sharron, of Springdale; 19 grandchild­ren; and 22 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were July 5 at Whitehouse Church, with Ron Ramey of ciating. Burial was in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Allene Tumbleson

WESTVILLE, Okla. — Allene Tumbleson, 86, of Westville, Okla., went to be with her Lord on July 3, 2012. She was born to Monroe Brown and Elizabeth Wyers on March 8, 1926, in Ozark, Ark.

She married Edward Tumbleson on March 19, 1947. They had four children, Troy, Pamela, Deborah, and Carlos. She loved to crochet and go fishing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; daughter, Deborah; her parents, Monroe and Elizabeth Brown; sisters, Velta Ming and Colleen Brown; an infant brother who died at birth; and four grandchild­ren.

Survivors include daughter, Pamela (Mel) Richardson of Westville; two sons, Troy Tumbleson of Lincoln, and Carlos Tumbleson of Osage City, Kan.; 16 grandchild­ren; 23 great-grandchild­ren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Oleta (Melvin) Reavis of Kansas City, Mo. and Shirley (Jim) Storey of Grove, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Howard Colburn

CLYDE — William Howard Colburn, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 5, 2012. He was born on Feb. 8, 1927, to Samuel Paris and Nancy Ellen Risley Colburn on the family farm in Clyde where Howard happily lived all his adult life.

Howard graduated from Cane Hill School in 1944. He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a World War II veteran from 1945-1947. He was a military rifle marksman, and was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a 64-year member of American Legion Post 171. Upon returning from his military service, Howard met and married the love of his life, Betty Jo Hutchens of Prairie Grove.

He was a dyed-in-the-wool third-generation farmer on his beloved family farm. His cattle were his passion. He demonstrat­ed amazing courage and determinat­ion in recovering from a farming accident in 1982. He was soon back out again enjoying the farm and his many loving friends and family.

Howard served many years as an elder at Cane Hill Presbyteri­an Church, a member of the Cane Hill Cemetery Board and the Cane Hill College Board.

Howard and Betty spent many happy years with their Dinner Club friends and their many Cane Hill and Clyde friends. He delighted his family and friends with his warm, wonderful sense of humor. Howard was an avid Razorback basketball fan, attending years of mens and womens games with Betty.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Betty Hutchens Colburn, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Gubitz and husband Dave of Bixby, Okla. and Carol Steen and husband Ronald of Davidson, N.C.; One sister, Virginia Walker and husband, Lee of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchild­ren, Melissa Beltz and husband Matt, Amanda Bradshaw and husband Kevin, Nicholas, Ryan and Jennifer Steen; three great-grandchild­ren, Madison and Morgan Beltz and Camden Bradshaw.

Funeral services were held July 7 at the Cane Hill Presbyteri­an Church with Bruce Schlegel officiatin­g. Burial was in Cane Hill Cemetery.

Wilma Fay Lee

LINCOLN — Wilma Fay Lee, 91, a resident of Lincoln, passed away July 8, 2012, in Prairie Grove. She was born Dec. 7, 1920, at Clyde, the daughter of James Elza and Lula Mae Freeman Glidewell.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Lee; two brothers, Ray and Loyce Glidwell; two sisters, Holly Howard Eversoll and Ardath Keck.

Survivors include one brother, Bill Glidewell of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held July 10 at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Jack Thompson officiatin­g. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.

Margie Annell Rogers

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Margie Annell Rogers, 82, of Fayettevil­le, died July 5, 2012, in Fayettevil­le. She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Lake City, the daughter of S.V. and Vera Covey Walker.

She was a retired elementary school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cain Rogers; and a sister, Virginia Tucker Paul.

She is survived by a son, John C. Rogers and his wife, Lisa, of Farmington; a granddaugh­ter, Lauren Rogers; and a brother-inlaw, Perry Paul of Hemet, Calif.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Moore’s Chapel and burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery. Officiatin­g will be the Rev. Don George.
