Mona Lujean Carte

LINCOLN — Mona Lujean Carte, 78, a resident of Lincoln, Ark., passed away Sept. 9, 2012, in Fayettevil­le Ark. She was born Sept. 5, 1934, in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Clarence and Katy Dosier Kennedy.

Mona retired after 20 years of service as a bus driver for the Lincoln School District.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carte.

Survivors include two sons, Johnny Duane Carte of Evansville, Ark., and Bruce Randell Carte of Morrow, Ark.; two daughters, Belva Grif n of Stilwell, Okla., and Becky Lugean Tanner of Baton Rouge, La.; an honorary son, Jon Carte of Dutch Mills, Ark.; two brothers, Bruce Kennedy of California and Cecil Moe Kennedy of Lincoln; a sister, JoAnn Snodgrass of Lincoln; 11 grandchild­ren, 24 greatgrand­children and eight greatgreat-grandchild­ren.

Memorial services were Sept. 11 at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. A gathering was held following the service at the Evansville Community Center.

Kenneth Leroy Allen Sr.

SUMMERS — Kenneth Leroy Allen Sr., 68, died Sept. 3, 2012. He was born March 18, 1943. Survivors include Judith Deanna Allen and Billy Allen, both of Summers; Kenneth Allen Jr. (Chastity Robertson) and Joey Robertson, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Services were at noon, Sept. 7, 2012, at Roberts Funeral Home in Westville, Okla., with Brother Jimmie Allen of ciating. Interment was at Fayettevil­le National Cemetery.
