PRAIRIE GROVE — The City Council on Dec. 17 adopted a $3.152 million budget for 2013.

The city budget also includes $ 144,529 for the Prairie Grove Library and $167,868 for Prairie Grove District Court.

Projected revenues include $ 433,400 from the 1- cent county sales tax, $269,000 from property taxes, $195,000 from franchise fees and $237,200 from the aquatic park and baseball program.

Other revenue sources are $71,000 from state turnback funds, $195,000 from district court fines and $73,716 from the county library tax.

Prairie Grove’s budget includes two bond funds, which total $3.1 million for payments and ongoing projects. The 2006 bond fund is paying for part of the new wastewater plant and the 2012 bond fund is being used to pay for infrastructure projects in the city.

Prairie Grove has three retirement budgets for police and fire and the total expenses for these funds will be $32,400 in 2013.

In addition, the City Council earlier this year adopted a $1.8 million budget for the water department.
