Volunteers Recognized At Center
LINCOLN — Good morning, seniors. Oh dear, visiting with Sally this morning, I realized I hadn’t written the article for this week. So if I can squeeze it in under the wire, here goes.
Let’s start out the new year with a big “thank you” to all the volunteers who give so kindly of themselves; who assisted with things going on at the center. Those of you who deliver Meals On Wheels do not realize, I am sure, just how important that is and how much you are appreciated, not only by the center but by the recipients who receive the meals. You sometimes are the only person that

person sees all day and could even be a life saver by checking on them, making sure they are okay by providing that hot meal. Also those of you who assist around the center with leading groups, or by some housekeeping duties, or whatever you may do are appreci- ated. Again, thank you.
Remember we are closed Jan. 21 in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Otherwise the regular games and activities continue five days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Start out the new year right by visiting some of your old friends and meeting new ones at the Lincoln Senior Center. Hope to see you here soon. Have a great week, keep smiling, keep healthy and God bless.
