Wiley V. Hegi

PRAIRIE GROVE — Wiley V. Hegi, 87, a resident of Prairie Grove went to be with his Lord on Jan. 14, 2013. He was born Dec. 19, 1925, in Vilonia, Ark., the son of Johnny and Mamie Wharton Hegi.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. He served in the United States Army where he was involved in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janice.

Survivors include his brother, Gene Hegi of Hixon, Tenn., and his sister, Wanda Harper of Prairie Grove.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial was in Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway, Ark.

Mary E. Choate

FORT SMITH — Mary E. Choate, 79, of Fort Smith, Ark., entered into rest on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Fort Smith. She was born April 29, 1933, in Canadian, Texas, the daughter of the late Fred and Eva Hardage.

She was retired from J.C. Penny, member of First Baptist Fort Smith, and the widow of the late Ned Choate, Jr.

Su rv ivo rs include daughter, Kim Choate Kidder and husband Brad Jr. of Van Buren; two sons, Michael and wife Debra Choate of Fort Smith, and Kevin and wife Martha Choate of Fort Smith; brother, Ronnie Hardage of Tulsa, Okla.: sister, Verna Hutchins of Bethel Heights, Ark.; ve grandchild­ren and ve great-grandchild­ren.

Memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Hope Ann Patterson

GREENLAND — Hope Ann Lamproe Patterson of Greenland was born Aug. 7, 1979, in Fayettevil­le, Ark. She died Jan. 11, 2013, at the age of 33. Hope was a homemaker and a veteran of the United States Army.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Desalvo.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Bill and Debbie Murray of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three sons and one daughter, Jade Lamproe of Wheaton, Mo., Seth and Luke Daniel of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Anna Daniel of Prairie Grove, Ark.; three brothers, Johnny Lamproe and Chris Murray of Rogers and Brandon Murray of Prairie Grove; and two sisters, Sandra Buckner of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Josena Murray of Lincoln, Ark. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

John Fortenberr­y

LITTLE ROCK — John Fortenberr­y, 85, of Little Rock, Ark., died Oct. 27, 2012. He was born in San Diego, Calif., on Aug. 22, 1927.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Elmer and Nellie Steward Fortenberr­y; a brother David James Fortenberr­y and his wife Ocie Bolden Fortenberr­y, and two daughters, Linda and Susan.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Maxine Beaty Fortenberr­y, formerly of Prairie Grove; two sons and their families, David Fortenberr­y and wife Karen A. Fortenberr­y and their two daughters, Don Fortenberr­y and his wife, Melody A. Fortenberr­y, their two daughters, and two great-grandchild­ren.

A graveside service was held at Walnut Grove Cemetery at Newport, Ark., on Oct. 30, 2012,

A memorial service was held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church of ciated by the Rev. Britt Skarda on Oct. 31, 2012.

Oland Arlander Winn

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Oland Arlander Winn, 80, a resident of Fayettevil­le, went to be with his Lord on Jan. 18, 2013. He was born March 10, 1932, in West Fork, the son of William Harrison and Bertha Neal Winn.

He was a member of the Farmington Church of Christ for more than 35 years, he retired from Lewis Ford in 1995 after 35 years of service.

Oland was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Christine Durfey and Wynonna Morelock.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marie Winn; four children, Katherine Heitzenrat­er and husband Robert of Baton Rouge, La., Barbara Haynie and husband Preston of Searcy, Ark., Keith Winn and wife Sue of Billings, Mont., and Denise Moreland and husband Pat of Camdenton, Mo.; one brother, Elsworth Winn and wife Rita of Greenland; two sisters, Beatrice Cribbet of Skiatook, Okla., and Louise Sargent of West Fork; his grandchild­ren, Jennifer Heitzenrat­er, Sarah Litton and husband, Scott, Kristen Heitzenrat­er, Melodie Mauney and husband Matt, Ben Winn, Josh Winn, Kasey Moreland and Luke Moreland.

Arrangemen­ts were under Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral Service was held Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial was in National Cemetery in Fayettevil­le.
