Couple Gives Donation To Church

- Lincoln Lifestyles MARIE ROY WCN Columnist MARIE ROY HAS WRITTEN FOR THE ENTERPRISELEADER FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS.

LINCOLN — Again, A.C. and Velma (Thomas) Jordan have sent a very generous donation to Sugar Hill Church, this to be used for additional insulation for the building.

A.C. is retired from military service. After giving most of his life in defending our freedom, they are still serving others. May they be blessed accordingly. Their thoughts and generosity are so much appreciated.

When you see the blue flag flying in front of the community building, you know the Lincoln library is open — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, noon to 8 p.m.; Friday, 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with good friendly service always.

Friends of the Lincoln Public Library will have its annual “Taste Of Chocolate” sale on Saturday, Feb. 9. You can make up your own box or buy one already packaged.

On Wednesday, I received two calls about needing a sewing machine repairman. A nice visit was enjoyed with a Prairie Grove lady. I feel I have acquired a new friend. I had another visit from a longtime friend. She had heard of Mr. Honea but didn’t have his phone number. So, I will continue to do the best I can as allowed to help others, maybe spread joy through jokes and some news when possible.

Happy birthday to Robi Carter, Payton Long, Matt Hudgens, Josh Moore, Doris Danforth, Luedell Kley.

Very special greetings to Lena Rinehart, 103 years young, on Jan. 29. Happy anniversary to Charlie and Carol Pitts, James and Marsha King.
