Bingo Lots Of Fun For Seniors At Center

- Lincoln Senior Center SHIRLEY METZGER Center Reporter

LINCOLN — Good morning, seniors. Brrrr ’tis chilly, ’tis chilly. But no complaints from me. The day after I got home from Kansas on the last trip it snowed 5 inches up there, so I was glad to get home when I did. No complaints about the weather from this old gal.

We took a trip in the van to Chick-fil-A to play bingo last week and what fun we had. We won snacks and prizes, met and visited with others from other facilities and laughed like crazy. What fun it was.

Great activities go on regularly at the Lincoln Senior Center along with delicious meals and great socialization.

Dennis Ledbetter, Washington County fire marshal, will be here to talk about and answer your questions about fire safety around your home and environment on Thursday, Jan. 24, so be sure to pop in to see what all he has to say. Our Tops group is still going strong on Tuesday mornings. This is a good time to start losing some of those extra holiday pounds we packed on these past couple of months.

Come by on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 and see what we are all about. Also remember the center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you need to get in out of the cold come on down and soak up some of our heat while you have a great time with friends.

We have neat folks who come to the center and some who love to laugh and joke with others. Lynwood Holloway loves to keep things going on. He said he will stir the fires so that ought to keep us all warm. (Ha-ha gotcha, Lynwood.)

Jackie will be here to do nails on Jan. 28 so get your name in for that much needed and appreciated activity.

Meanwhile, keep smiling, keep healthy and God bless you and yours.
