Coffee Creations, The Place To Go

- By Lynn Kutter

FARMINGTON — Coffee Creations Cafe in Farmington is more than just a coffee shop.

The cafe is a place to visit with friends, enjoy a delicious pastry at breakfast or soup and sandwich at lunch while using the shop’s free wireless service to surf the Internet. And don’t forget the many different flavors of coffee that are available each day.

Coffee Creations is owned by Dave Sterling and has been open almost 11 years in the same location off Main Street. It is located at 56 S. Yukon Way, Suite 1, behind First Federal Bank.

“We are a gourmet coffee shop/cafe serving drinks, breakfast and lunch,” Sterling said.

Sterling had always owned his own business and 11 years ago, said he decided to “go crazy” and try opening a coffee shop and cafe.

Coffee Creations has more than 40 drinks that are hot, frozen, on the rocks, low carb or sugar free. Two of the more popular drinks are the Magic Caramel Ride and the Snickers.

Many different sandwiches are available at lunch and two of his customers’ favorites are the mystic chicken and spinach herb wrap. Other items include grilled panini sandwiches, salads and wraps and the soup of the day. The lunch entrées come with three sides.

Two popular items these days include grilled croissants for breakfast and grilled wraps for lunch.

Coffee Creations Cafe is open 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The shop has daily lunch specials and drink specials on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Sterling said he enjoys meeting people in his cafe and supporting the community in different ways.
