Festival Meeting

An Apple Festival meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on May 21 at the Country Doctors Museum.

FARMINGTON Journal Making

Workshop

Farmington Public Library is sponsoring a Journal Making Workshop at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18. Cost is a $20 supply fee. Adults interested in journal making, scrapbooki­ng or book-binding will construct a personaliz­ed journal and learn journal-keeping techniques. Participan­ts will be introduced to the everyday benefits of journaling as a way to unburden the mind and nurture the imaginatio­n. Materials needed to create your journal will be provided. Chamber Golf Tournament

The Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual golf tournament May 23 at the Golf Course at Valley View. Cost is $320 for a four-person team. For more informatio­n, email rstidham@bof.com or call 263-1948.

Decoration­s at Sharp Cemetery at 2 p.m. on May 19.

Illinois Chapel Cemetery

Decoration day for Illinois Chapel Cemetery will be Sunday, May 19. A potluck luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Illinois Chapel Baptist Church with a short business meeting to follow. The cemetery will be decorated after the meeting.

McDonald Cemetery

The McDonald Cemetery will have a clean up, starting at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18. There will be a short meeting, donations and dinner. Bring lawn chairs and something to eat. For more informatio­n, contact Carol Hulse, 846-3710.

Blood Drive

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on May 22 at the Prairie Grove Christian Church, 611 Villines.

RHEAS MILL Cemetery Decoration Day Rheas Mill Cemetery will have a decoration day on Sunday, May 19. There will be a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall at 11:15 a.m. and the cemetery meeting will be at 1 p.m. Donations are needed for cemetery upkeep.

Meals On Wheels Fundraiser

The Prairie Grove Senior Center is sponsoring a benefit along with Arvest Park for Meals on Wheels. Purchase an $8 ticket to the May 30 Naturals game and $4 of every ticket sold over 200 will benefit Meals on Wheels. For more informatio­n, call the center at 846-2794.

WEST FORK

Benefit and Fundraiser

A benefit and fundraiser for Kim Hunt, a heart patient from Farmington, will be held from 4-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the West Fork Community Building. Events include a car show, pie auction, gospel singers, kids corner and blood drive. Donations of any kind will be accepted for an auction and will be appreciate­d.
