Norma Marie Brockman
PRAIRIE GROVE — Norma Marie Vickery Brockman, 73, a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., went to be with her Lord, May 21, 2013. She was born June 25, 1939, in Cove Creek, Ark., the daughter of Link and Ollie Phillips Vickery.
She was a member of New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church of Prairie Grove for 42 years.
Norma is survived by her husband, Robert Brockman of the home; one daughter, Brenda Maddan and husband, Greg of Prairie Grove; two sons, Michael and Mark Brockman, both of Prairie Grove; three brothers, C.L. Vickery and wife, Katie of Springdale, Ark., L.V. Vickery and wife, Lorene and Olan Vickery, all of Prairie Grove; one sister, Oma Bennett and her husband, Bill of Bethany, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and extended family.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at New Sulphur Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery

Austin Wayne Deere
PRAIRIE GROVE — Austin Wayne Deere, 19, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away May 20, 2013, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Dec. 19, 1993, in Fayetteville, Ark., the son of J.D. and Gaylene Bartholomew Deere. Austin graduated from Prairie Grove High School in 2012. Survivors include his mother and father, J.D. and Gaylene Deere; one sister, Asten Reynolds of Virginia Beach; paternal grandmother, Jackie Deere of Nashville, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Wanda Bartholomew of Prairie Grove; aunt and uncle, Leon and Rosie Deere of DeQueen, Ark.; uncle, Carl Bartholomew and Vicki Cate of Prairie Grove; aunt and uncle, Karen and Lonnie Grant of Farmington; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Troy Stamps of Dierks, Ark.; cousins, Carly Bartholomew, Amanda Grant, Coby Bartholomew, Emily Grant, Annaliese Stamps and Kyle Stamps; his God-parents, Tubby and Charlotte Shannon; and his lifelong bestfriend, Delton Rhodes.

Marion Lester ‘Smitty’ Smith
FAYETTEVILLE — Marion Lester “Smitty” Smith, age 79, a resident of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away May 21, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born April 3, 1934, in Barber, Ark., the son of Arch Alvin and Bertie Mae Mitchell Smith.
He owned Smitty’s Plumbing and has been a master plumber in the Northwest Arkansas area since 1962. He was an avid hunter and sherman and enjoyed his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Douglas Smith and Darrell Eugene Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Smith; one son, Scott and his wife, Diane Smith of Elkins; one daughter, Karen Sue Tuck and her husband, Larry of Fayetteville; one brother, Jim Smith of Mans eld, Ark.; two sisters, Margaret Cook and Myrel Dean Kerr, both of Greenwood, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were under Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral service was held May 24, 2013, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Zinnamon Cemetery in West Fork, Ark.
