Lincoln Senior Center Writer Marks 75th Birthday

-

Good morning, seniors. I was so excited about my new great- granddaughter last week that I didn’t get the article in on time for the newspaper.

I am having so much trouble keeping dates straight. Since I am not working regular, one day is just the same as the other, and it is really confusing to me.

I do know what today is though, it is my 75th birthday. Oh my, that is a shock

to me. I was just 26 a few days ago.

Time is moving faster now and I have to run to catch up with it.

Oh well, no cards please, that was just a passing thought I had and do not expect any recognition.

Each week brings us closer to our leader’s return to the center. Sally Metcalf is recuperating at home and doing rather well, although quite weak and not moving very fast. We don’t want her back until she is fully recovered though, so let’s not rush her. But it sure will be great to have her back.

On Wednesday, June 25, we leave at 9 a. m. to go to Elkins to play beanbag baseball. That will be a great day and lots of fun. They are a fun group. On the same day, the O.K. Country band will be here to play for a dance. Otherwise the activities continue here at the center and the delicious dinners at 11: 15 a. m. are awesome, so come on down and take part in the cards, puzzles, bingo, Bible study and the great meals. Hope to see you soon.

Have a great week, keep smiling, keep healthy and God bless you and yours.
