Glen Alton Oldham

Glen Alton Oldham, 86 a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Aug. 26, 2013, at Katherine’s Place in Fayettevil­le. He was born June 11, 1927. in Duncan, Okla., the son of Wesley B. and Ollie Dale Plant Oldham.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister June Avelinno, one brother, Randy Wayne Oldham and his grandson, Daniel Glen Taylor.

Glen is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dottie Louise Henderson Oldham; one son, Danny Glen Oldham of Little Rock and one daughter, Kathie L. Taylor of Gentry; one brother, Edgar Oldham of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two grandchild­ren, Caleb Wesley Taylor and Rebekah Lynn Taylor; one great-grandson, Wesley Taylor.

Glen was a furniture dealer since age 19 in Oklahoma, California and Arkansas, he was also a real estate dealer in these states as well. Glen and Dottie loved each other, their children and grandchild­ren. They loved working together all these years in the furniture business. He sold, bought and traded and Dottie did the books, always trying to make sense of the various and random trades.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 - 4:30 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Jasper Cemetery in Jasper, Ark. There will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Juanita Lillian Conner

Juanita Lillian Conner, 88, a resident of Lincoln, passed away Aug. 24, 2013, in Fayettevil­le. She was born May 12, 1925, at Feathersto­n, Okla., the daughter of Nash and Willie Christophe­r Holt.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul Conner and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Conner of Cane Hill and Donald Conner of Cincinnati, Ark.; three daughters, Shirley Pinkerton, Aletta Caswell and Oleta Danforth all of Lincoln; 12 grandchild­ren, Matt Pinkerton, Kelly Conner, Paul Wade Conner, Chad Caswell, Allen Caswell, Ashley Wright, Trenda Neff, Clint Neff, Jason Conner, Jared Conner, Amanda Hester, and Daniel Conner, and 15 greatgrand­children.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Luginbuel Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 - 10a.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with Paul Young officiatin­g. Burial will be in the Dutch Mills Cemetery, no graveside services will be held at the Cemetery.

Tommy Robert ‘Bob’ Frank

Tommy Robert “Bob” Frank, 78, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Aug. 24, 2013, at his home. He was born Dec. 1, 1934, at Bunch, Okla. the son of Roy and Dovie Frank.

He was an avid Razorback fan. He worked with Boy Scouts and Band Boosters. He loved spending time with his family and was very proud of his children and grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Myrtle Morris, Katherine Tate, and Betty Carter.

Survivors include his wife Sondra Frank; one son, Dustin Frank of Celina, Ohio; two daughters, Angela Ruhe and husband Richard of Springfiel­d, Mo., and Kecia Grigson and husband Ted of Prairie Grove; one sister, Gay Lynn Napier of Prairie Grove; six grandchild­ren, Quincy Grigson and wife Stephanie, Keziah Grigson, Karmyn Grigson, Stephanie Ruhe and Fiancee Jason Lee, Shannon Gonzales and husband Frank, Rachelle Wood and husband Lonnie; seven great grandchild­ren Christian, Austin, Justin, Ashley, Gabe, Damian, and Angel; one greatgreat granddaugh­ter, Jaidyn.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, -2 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Richard Lee ‘Dick’ Halbrook

Richard Lee “Dick” Halbrook, 70, a resident of Farmington, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Aug. 25, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 21, 1942, at Indianapol­is, Ind., the son of Ralph and Viola Fern McNeese Halbrook.

Richard was raised by his grandparen­ts and uncle and aunt Art and Ethel Pfeiffer since he was 12 years old at Shelbyvill­e, Ill. Richard graduated from Shelbyvill­e High School, class of 1960 and attended college at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was well-known floor covering specialist in the area for 38 years and Horse Show judge. He loved his family and horses. He was an excellent horseman and Quarter Horse owner and breeder.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Wanda Halbrook of the home; three daughters, Rhonda Keys and husband Jon of Farmington, Kimberly Stipe and husband Roger of Little Rock, and Kelly Sullins and faience James Rutledge of Fayettevil­le; two brothers, Col. Earl Halbrook of San Antonio, Texas, and Lloyd Halbrook of Xenia, Ill.; three grand

Halbrook daughters, Chynna Ann Stipe, Lily Ann Stipe, and Pearlie Dawn Rutledge. He was much loved, gracious, kind, sweet and will be solely missed.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Luginbuel Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 -2 p.m. at the Farmington Cemetery Pavilion.

Pallbearer­s will be Travis Freeman, Tommy Murphy, Larry Broyles, Ben McMullin, Ed Perry, and Paul Ahrens. Honorary Pallbearer­s will be Bobby Long, Jon Keys, Roger Stipe, and James Rutledge

Corene S. Read

PRAIRIE GROVE — Corene S. Read, 80, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away Aug. 19, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1933, in Cane Hill, Ark., the daughter of James Walter and Stella Matthews Grant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Read; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two sisters, Maudie Phillips and Ellavie Dallas; three sisters-inlaw, Nina Grant, Margie Grant and Mary Grant; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Aug. 22, 2013, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove with burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Brenda Joyce Phillips

Brenda Joyce Phillips, 62, a resident of Lincoln and past resident of Farmington, passed away Aug. 24, 2013, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le. She was born Oct. 12, 1950, in Prairie Grove, the daughter of Oda and Peggy Nash Pense.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Junior Phillips; one daughter and son in law, Kim and David Benish of Farmington; one son and daughter in law, Keith and Lena Phillips of Lincoln; five grandchild­ren, Bethany Farmer and her husband David of Prairie Grove, Justin Benish of Farmington, Chace Phillips of Springdale, Holly and Hailee Brockmeyer of Gentry; countless other family and friends. Arrangemen­ts are under Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 - 10 a.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Rose Cemetery, there will be no graveside service held at the cemetery.
