Lincoln Library Stock Has Been Moved
We have cleared out and cleaned up the community building where the Lincoln Public Library has been housed since late last year. All of our items have been successfully boxed and stored. A big “thank you” to all city of Lincoln employees who worked so hard to get us moved out quickly — the ones doing all the heavy lifting as well as the ones behind the scenes making a lot of phone calls and more.
Because of you, everyone can enjoy the Arkansas Apple Festival on the square in October with visitors going to the community building for those apple dumplings, hot beans and corn bread. Thank you!! We could not have done it without all of you.
Remember, now that we are out families can reserve the building for the holidays and family get-togethers as before. Just call City Hall for more information, Barb and Tracey are always very helpful.
We miss the library patrons even now, but we are learning to work on a map project that will be very important to the new library Genealogy Department.
We are still checking the drop box until the end of the month. So if anyone has items please drop them off now.
When the drop box is taken down, all library items have to go to Prairie Grove or Farmington libraries to be checked in.
Anyone who doesn’t already know, the Information Technology and Field Engineering Department has live blogs and the latest photos of the construction going on for the new library. You can check it out on Facebook at Lincoln, Ark., or the LincolnArkansas.com website.
Have a good week and we will try to keep you updated as information becomes available.
