Fun Trip To Terra Studios

Good Morning, seniors. I know the days must be getting shorter, time is going faster, I am moving slower and today I ran all over town with my shirt on backwards. I declare, I guess I don’t know if I am going or coming, forgetting or remembering. Is it OK to blame that on age? That’s my only excuse. No wonder my granddaughter tells me at times, Boy, Granny, you are weird.” At least she adds, “but I love ya anyway.”

There were nine of us from Lincoln Senior Center who took a trip to Terra Studios and watched them make the Bluebirds. That was very interesting and we stopped at a restaurant called the Rolling Pin and ate the most delicious homemade chicken and noodles that I have ever eaten. It was a fun time and great socialization and meeting new friends.

There are more fun and exciting trips coming up, but I don’t have the dates for them at this time. We are getting ready for the Bean Bag World Series games coming up. They are Sept. 27 but we need you to sign up by Sept. 11. What fun that will be. Jackie Sims will be here Sept. 9 to trim nails. Be sure to get your name on the list for that.

Games continue daily, as well as the Monday morning singing and Monday afternoon Bible study. Herman Cox leads this group and it is so interesting and up-beat. Bingo is on Wednesdays with lots of fun and neat prizes. Free blood pressures are also on this day. Delicious meals are everyday at 11 a.m. and card games, puzzles and just plain socialization continues as well. Friday mornings the homemade cinnamon rolls are hot and spicy and very good, so stop in and try those with a cup of coffee. Be sure to remember Oct. 4-6 for the Arkansas Apple Festival and delicious breakfasts here at the center those three mornings. Lots of exciting things coming up in the next few weeks so stop by the center and join in on some of them. Meanwhile have a wonderful week, keep smiling, keep healthy and God Bless you and yours.
