Festival Parade

Fall Clean Up
City of Lincoln will be having a fall clean up on Sept. 16-20. Lincoln residents can put clean up materials by the road on the regular trash days and the city will pick it up.
Computer Course
This introduction to computers course is a six night course designed to introduce beginners to the computer, Windows 7, and Office 2010. The class will meet on Mondays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting Oct. 7 through Nov. 11. Cost: $50. Call Lincoln High School to register, 479-8247498.
PRAIRIE GROVE
Scout Round-Up
Service Unit 62 Annual Girl Scout Round-Up will be 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Prairie Grove Battlefield Park. The event is open to the public. Girls wanting information about scouting are encouraged to attend. Adults wanting information about volunteering or setting up a new troop are encouraged to attend. Registrations will be taken there.
Blood Drive
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has issued a Code Yellow for A-positive, A-negative, AB-negative, O-positive and O-negative blood types. The CBCO will be in Prairie Grove from 3-6 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Harps, 319 Buchanan St. Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and present required ID.

HIPPY Application
Farmington Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) is taking applications for the 2013-14 school year. HIPPY is a free, fun, educational program to help prepare children for school. For more information, contact Star Glover at

SPRINGDALE
Electronics Drop-off
Several organizations are sponsoring a free electronics recycling drop-off at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. The business drop-off day is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, and the residential drop-off days are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 21. The following items will be accepted: computers, printers, copiers, phones, stereos, TVs, fax machines, paper shredders, microwaves, DVD and VCR players, video game consoles, satellite receivers and handheld devices, such as PDAs and iPods.
