Festival Parade

Talent Contest
Arkansas Apple Festival still has openings for the Youth Talent Contest. This event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning at 6 p.m., at the American Legion Building. There are two age groups, ages 8-12 and 13-17. Slots available in each age division are on a first come, first serve basis until the division is filled. Winners of each division will receive $100 and trophies. First runner-ups will be awarded $75. Contestants can give performances in vocal, dance or instrumental music. Computer Course
This introduction to computers course is a six night course designed to introduce beginners to the computer, Windows 7, and Office 2010. The class will meet on Mondays from 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting Oct. 7 through Nov. 11. Cost: $50. Call Lincoln High School to register, 479-8247498.
FARMINGTON
Dinner and Show
Ken Harvey Dinner and Show, a Meals on Wheels benefit, is set for Oct. 4 at the Farmington Senior Center. Tickets are on sale now for $10 each at the Center. Doors open at 5:30 for dinner and show will start at 7 p.m.
Tennis Fundraiser
Farmington High School Tennis Team is hosting a fundraiser at Penguin Ed’s BBQ West location at 6347 W. Wedington on Monday, Sept. 30 with a portion of the sales to go to help support the program for equipment and travel costs. Please join us from 3 p.m. till close and enjoy a barbecue meal while supporting FHS.
