Reeves Benefit
A cancer benefit is set for Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. for a chili supper, pie auction and silent auction at Lincoln Senior Center, 117 E. Park St., Lincoln. Drop off any auction items at 3 p.m. All proceeds will go to Maria Reeves for medical bills and chemotherapy.
FARMINGTON
Softball Camp
University of Arkansas women’s softball team will sponsor a camp for girls 8th grade and younger from 6-8 p.m., Oct. 29 and 30 at the Farmington Sports Complex. Cost is $25 per player. PRAIRIE GROVE
Monument Ceremony
Prairie Grove Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will conduct a re-dedication ceremony for a restored monument marker on the front lawn of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Prairie Grove. The stone marker was originally placed in 1930 by the Prairie Grove Chapter to recognize the historical importance of the church, which was used during the War Between the States as an emergency hospital. All are welcome to attend the brief ceremony on the front lawn of the church. The church has requested those attending please park in the rear parking lot behind the church. There will be a reception following the event at the Prairie Grove Battlefield Park in the Jim Parks Shelter and refreshments will be served by the Prairie Grove Chapter ladies.
Senior Center Music
Prairie Grove Senior Center will sponsor the Good Time Band with Donnie Peoples and Chip Leach from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the center. Dust off the cowboy hats, polish the boots and come have a good time with music and refreshments. A donation of $3 per person is welcomed.

Through Arvest Bank’s 1 Million Meals campaign, you can help feed hungry neighbors, including children and older adults. Arvest Bank, Prairie Grove, has tubs set up at Harps and Walmart Express for non-perishable food donations.
