Reunion Lets Good Times Roll

It was a beautiful autumn day on Saturday for the 21st Myers family reunion at the home of Charlie and Carol Pitts in Siloam Springs. Many family members were missed due to illness, traveling and other causes, and attendance was only 38, but the good times rolled — games, visiting, photo shots and the usual plentiful food. More precious memories were made. We especially enjoyed having Joe and Mary Bowden from Fort Gibson, Okla., with us. Joe is one of our late sister-in-law Jean Myers’ nephews, and their presence helps keep us connected.

Saturday evening, about 30 youngsters enjoyed the hay ride, games, candy hunt, marshmallow and weiner roast, a pinata and a lesson from the Bible, at the Sugar Hill Church. Also participating were the many older young- at- heart members whom we appreciate for their planning and time to make this event so successful.

Another celebration Saturday was at the Rheas Mill Community Church where family members and 40 friends gathered to help James Nash celebrate his 80th birthday.

In case you haven’t seen a sale bill, the Cheatham estate auction is this Saturday, Nov. 2, on South Mitchell in Lincoln, a sale of many collections of guns, tractors, knives, antiques, also household items and other items too numerous to mention, collections of over 60 years.

Happy birthday to Willy Williams, Carolyn Latta, Doug Moore, Kevin McGarrah, Bill Wright, Shawn Foley, Chad Myers, Johnny Cheatham, La Verne Sanderso, Sarah Sisemore.

Happy anniversary to Darryl and Crystal Sisemore, Wayne and Aleta Caswell, Darrel and Eloise Parker.
