Cardinal Tree
Come by any Farmington school office and adopt a Cardinal for Christmas. Cardinals are children in the school district whose families need help this time of year with providing their children a merry Christmas. Christmas Parade
The Farmington Christmas Parade has been rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 19. The chili supper will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at Folsom Elementary School and the parade will start at 7 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “Camo Christmas.” Festivities at Folsom will include Christmas music presented by school groups, pictures with Santa and a silent auction. The parade will conclude at Farmington United Methodist Church with hot chocolate and cookies. Prizes will be given to first, second and third place parade entries.
Blood Drive
The Community Blood Center will have a blood drive from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Sonic, 225 W. Main. The center has issued a Code Yellow Alert for O Negative and A Negative blood types.
PRAIRIE GROVE
Blood Drive
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 5-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Prairie Grove Christian Church, 611 Villines, Prairie Grove. The blood center has issued a Code Yellow Alert for O Negative and A Negative blood types.
LINCOLN
Christmas Baskets
Lincoln Kiwanis Club will be providing Christmas baskets for families in the greater Lincoln area again this year. Kiwanis members will receive requests at 267-6618, a voicemail line. The hotline will close on Wednesday, Dec. 18. A caller has to leave their name, address and phone number. Callers will be contacted to confirm their request and obtain the information necessary to assure there will be sufficient food to meet the needs of a household and toys for children 12 years-old and under. Christmas baskets and toys will be available to be picked up on Friday, Dec. 20, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., at the Lincoln Armory.
Liberty Baptist Church Program
Liberty Baptist Church adult choir will be sharing the Christmas story with a musical entitled “LIght of the World” on December 22nd at 11 a.m. You are welcome to come and worship the King with us.
