FARMINGTON

Library Moving

Farmington Public Library was closed Jan. 6 to move to the new location at 175 W. Cimarron Place and is expected to reopen later in the month. For the duration of the closing, a drop box will continue to be located in front of the old library building for all returns.

Ball Sign-Ups

Sign-ups for the Summer Ball Baseball/Softball (this includes Tball) began Jan. 6 and run through Feb. 14. Applicatio­ns are available through the city website or at City Hall or by coming to one of three scheduled sign-up sessions at Ledbetter Intermedia­te. Sign-up sessions will be held 9 a.m. - noon, Saturday, Jan. 11 and Saturday, Jan. 25; and 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9. The city website is www. cityoffarm­ingtonar.com. Cost is $50 for Tball, $60 for 7-12 years old and $70 for 13, 14 and 15 years old, with a $100 cap per family. Financial assistance is available for those who meet the criteria. Applicatio­ns will not be accepted after Feb. 14.

PRAIRIE GROVE

Baseball And Softball Sign-Ups

Baseball and softball signups will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon and again on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Prairie Grove Middle School cafeteria. The fee is $60 per child or $120 per family. Bring a copy of the child’s birth certificat­e. Evening sign-ups will be held Feb. 18, 20 and 24 from 5-7 p.m. in the Pee Wee gym. Participan­ts, who don’t get signed up during these events will be charged an additional $10 fee. For more informatio­n or with questions call Christine at 479-8466541.

Guild Meeting

Northwest Arkansas Handweaver­s Guild will meet at 10 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2014, at the Arts Center of the Ozarks at 214 S. Main, Springdale. There will be an interestin­g program on weaving skills. Refreshmen­ts are served.
